Sales leads are like the story of Robin Hood
Did you ever hear the story of Robin Hood? Where he stole from the rich and gave to the poor? Well, in some ways, sales leads are essentially the same thing. They take prospective clients out of the hands of the rich and give the rest a fair shot at getting those very same clients!! The only difference in our story is what you do with the leads. Do you squander them and make them mean nothing at all? Do you hold them captive for too long and let the loose to be had by others because you don't know what to do with them? Or do you go for the fairy princess, the Maid Marian, the prize de coupe, if you will, and get them and use them quickly and with precision to conquer and divide!?!?
We would all want to say that we have a quick plan of attack and we purchase the leads, with the plan already in play and the end result is winning the battle. Don't forget, the battle is fought often and in increments. That is the same way you should work your leads lists. Any good salesperson will do that. And all of us know, you must touch the client at least 8 times in order to get their attention. That is a measure as old as time. Send recipes, send a newsletter, send the local sports or high school football schedule..........anything, just use your leads to touch your clients. Often, sqiftly, from all directions.............isn't that how Robin Hood won??

areas to use leads
So many people in sales and marketing look at the smaller picture of sales leads. Do you know sales leads, or leads in general can be used to make your life easier as a marketing pro? you can get lead lists to show potential clients, clients you are currently using and future markets that you can tap into. some of that may sound redundant, but not really. Obviously you use the lists of current leads to send emails and newsletters to your current market. Then you get the leads on your more common ideas of leads. The direct line of marketing. The cream of the crop type listings. The ones you potentially see as the target list. But you can also go after lists of "outside the box" clients. Ones that would use your product on a tethered extention of who you would typically go for. Say you are a realtor. Do you know that your leads for people buying houses could be changed to the mortgage leads list and you could make those a target for future sales? If they have been in the house for 2 -5 years, most likely they are either realizing they bought more than they could afford, or they are starting to think about moving up or to anothe location. You can use this list as a new target market. So use your thinking cap........go outside the box and use the leads to their fullest potential!!1 Expand your market!! Make those sales!! http://tinyurl.com/26tx852

Do the emails match your lead efforts?
You can have all the good intentions in the world, but if you don't have an effect email to go with your leads, you are pretty much spinning your wheels. And spending alot of time and money in the process!!
With this business climate and elements surrounding it, if done right, email marking is still a productive tool in lead generation. The way to do it is handle each email as if you are meeting that person face to face. It is basically like walking into someone's office and they have no clue who you are, but if you stand there, with feet planted firmly and spread a warm smile and introduce yourself, you have done have the battle. The next part is getting them to actually sit there and read about what you have to say. This generation is a product of do it quick and do it right, but don't bog me down with details.
Your email has to be crafted with each market you are working towards in mind. It has to reach out and touch them on a particular level that they want to read the rest of what you have to say, and then call you. Otherwise your retention dollars are poured down the drain. So stand there, with your goofy grin, and say "Hi".......... and then give a quick, but tasteful assessment of who and what your company is and what they represent. Tell them something they want to hear more about. It may be timely in season, in the neighborhood, in their business, but tell them something quick, to the point, get in get out, quick.
Take something from marketing 101, the class you couldn't wait to get out of, the class that came right before or right after lunch, the class you almost failed but your best friend's girlfriend took really good notes and coached you come test time!!........ ya, that class, and give the people something they want.

what are sales leads
For every great sales person there is a source of leads they must tap into, find, reach and sale to . Finding those leads are not always the easiest to come by. The means of sales leads are a great source of resource for many salespeople and organizations. These leads can be generated at various locations, whether by fairs, trade shows, call centers, websites and various other means.
By obtaining sales leads, individuals, sales managers, and companies can target an audience and find their market share. Or that is the premise of the leads. It is up to the individual to use these leads and work them towards a sale, whether it be a car, mortgage, home, or any number of other items.
Best of luck selling!!!
